Strategic Initiatives
Growth programs, investments, and their expected impact
TSMC is ramping N2 while extending its nanosheet roadmap through N2U, A14, A13 and A12. N2U targets additional performance, power and density improvements, while A13 is designed as a backward-compatible shrink of A14.
TSMC is scaling CoWoS package size, advanced SoIC stacking and COUPE co-packaged optics to address rising AI requirements for compute density, memory bandwidth, data movement and energy efficiency.
Current Arizona plans encompass six semiconductor logic-wafer fabs, two advanced-packaging facilities and an R&D center. TSMC also intends to add further fabs for 2-nanometer-and-below technologies and additional advanced-packaging capacity.
