Portland General Electric Company (PGE), incorporated in 1930, is a vertically integrated electric utility engaged in the generation, wholesale purchase, transmission, distribution, and retail sale of electricity in the state of Oregon. PGE serves approximately 960,000 retail customers across a service area of 4,000 square miles, which includes 51 incorporated cities, covering about half of Oregon's population and two-thirds of its business activity. The company owns or holds interests in approximately 3.6 gigawatts of generation capacity, including gas, coal, wind, and hydro resources, alongside 300 megawatts of energy storage.
