Strategic Initiatives
Growth programs, investments, and their expected impact
DoorDash is consolidating DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo onto a common technology platform, reorganizing portions of international operations around functions rather than brands, and updating capital-allocation processes. Management expects the platform to be fully rolled out in the first half of 2027 and believes it can accelerate product development, reduce redundancy, and improve investment efficiency.
DoorDash is increasing investment in AI-based personalization, basket building, merchant onboarding, catalog ingestion, advertising, routing, traffic prediction, and safety. It has launched the Ask consumer assistant, expanded Dot robot operations, and obtained FAA Part 135 certification for DoorDash Air while emphasizing that autonomous delivery remains early-stage and complementary to Dashers.
DoorDash is expanding beyond marketplace delivery into merchant-owned digital channels and in-store hospitality. In Q2 2026, new venues signed at SevenRooms grew more than 100% year over year, digital-ordering revenue grew more than 40%, and marketplace reservations increased more than 150% sequentially.
DoorDash Ads is expanding across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo through the Spotlight homepage format, Symbiosys-powered offsite media, LiveRamp clean-room measurement, Smart Campaigns, and automated bidding. The combined platforms supported more than 400,000 advertisers as of June 2026.
DoorDash is broadening selection through large-scale grocery and retail additions, including Empire in Canada, Kroger and Dollar Tree in the United States, and apparel, books, and department-store partners. Management reported strong Q2 2026 grocery and retail GOV growth with significantly improved unit economics, while DashPass members generated approximately 75% of U.S. grocery and retail orders.
