Qualitative Analysis
Business overview
AXIA Energia S.A. (formerly Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. – Eletrobras) is the largest renewable energy utility in the Southern Hemisphere and a leading force in Brazil's electricity generation and transmission sectors. Originally founded in 1962 as a state-controlled holding company, AXIA was officially privatized in June 2022 and rebranded to its current name in late 2025. The company operates a highly diversified and clean generation portfolio consisting of 82 plants with 44.4 GW of installed capacity (representing approximately 17% of Brazil's national total), with roughly 96% of its capacity derived from low greenhouse gas emission sources such as hydro, wind, and solar. Additionally, AXIA manages an extensive transmission network spanning over 73,800 kilometers of power lines, which accounts for approximately 37% of Brazil's National Interconnected System (SIN).

Strategic Initiatives
Growth programs, investments, and their expected impact
Following the completion of its post-privatization turnaround, AXIA is shifting focus from cost-cutting to aggressive infrastructure buildout, targeting transmission auction wins, grid reinforcements, and modernization of existing hydroelectric plants.
Expected impact: Aims to expand the company's regulated asset base and secure long-term steady revenues through transmission reinforcements and new auction wins.
The integration and merger of wholly-owned subsidiaries Juno Participações, Tijoá Participações, Retiro Baixo Energética, and SPE Nova Era Janapu Transmissora directly into AXIA Energia S.A.
Expected impact: Consolidates operational, administrative, and tax activities, eliminates corporate redundancies, and enhances decision-making speed without requiring a capital increase or share exchange.
An open innovation program connecting AXIA with strategic partners and startups to co-develop technological solutions, such as autonomous drone inspection units, intelligent video monitoring for safety, and advanced cavitation-resistant coatings for hydro turbine blades.
Expected impact: Improves operational safety, extends the service life of generation assets, and optimizes maintenance workflows through digital transformation.

Financial impact: Provides a net cash inflow of BRL 1.174 billion while securing full ownership and consolidation of the IE Garanhuns transmission asset.
Strategic Partnerships
Co-development of the first AI-neutral data center in the Amazon region (BEL1) in Belém, Pará. Elea will operate the facility, while AXIA will supply 100% renewable energy under a long-term PPA, positioning AXIA as a key green energy provider for the expanding digital infrastructure and AI sector.
Terms: Initial capacity of 7.5 MW starting in Q2 2027, with potential expansion up to 100 MW in future phases.
