Strategic Partnerships
AdvanSix partnered with Stamicarbon (the nitrogen technology arm of Nextchem/MAIRE Group) to evaluate expanding its integrated ammonia platform at Hopewell, Virginia. The project would utilize Stamicarbon's proprietary NX STAMI Urea technology to enable domestic manufacturing of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). This represents the first application where all urea melt production is dedicated exclusively to DEF, allowing AdvanSix to enter a high-demand regional emissions-control market.
Terms: Financial terms of the licensing and design agreement were not disclosed; if approved, it will lead to a multi-year capital investment program with startup targeted for 2029.
