Permianville Royalty Trust Dossier
Qualitative Analysis
Business overview
Permianville Royalty Trust (NYSE: PVL), formerly known as Enduro Royalty Trust, is a Houston-based statutory trust established in May 2011. The Trust was created to acquire and hold a net profits interest (NPI) representing the right to receive 80% of the net profits from the sale of oil and natural gas production from certain underlying properties located in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. These properties are situated in highly prolific regions, including the Permian Basin and the Haynesville Shale. As a passive trust, Permianville does not conduct active operations, has no employees, and is managed by its Trustee, The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A.. Substantially all of its monthly cash inflows, net of trust administrative expenses and reserves, are distributed directly to unitholders, avoiding double taxation.
